THE STAR ATTRACTION

Glorious pictures of the sky at night
taken by Iranian photographer Babak Tafreshi...

This beautiful time-lapse picture shows the Full Moon rising above a lighthouse in the Mediterranean seashore in Algiers, Algeria. Aurora Borealis appears above a fjord in Lofoten Islands in northern Norway. The particles that create the effect originate from the Sun and reach Earth in the stream of solar wind. The Milky Way and bright planet Jupiter shine above the roaring waters of Chuya River in the Altai Mountains, Siberia.
