美國一名男子２５日攜武器並駕駛裝有警用裝置的車輛出現在北卡羅來納州一處機場停車場。當時，美國總統貝拉克·奧巴馬剛乘“空軍一號”離開。
這名男子名為約瑟夫·肖恩·麥克維伊，現年２３歲，來自俄亥俄州。阿什維爾地方機場警察凱萬·史密斯介紹，麥克維伊當天下午１４時左右駕駛一輛小汽車出現在機場停車場，車上安有警報器、警燈等設備。警方和特工處人員看到麥克維伊走出車門，便上前詢問。
當地官員說，麥克維伊在停車場告訴一名警官，他並非執法部門人員，所駕裝有警用裝置的車輛由自己改裝而成，他到機場是想見總統奧巴馬。麥克維伊隨即遭警方逮捕。
由於奧巴馬當時已乘飛機離開，麥克維伊並未接近過總統專機。
麥克維伊眼下受到攜武器恐嚇公眾罪指控。這一罪名屬於輕罪。他被關在邦科姆縣監獄。監獄工作人員約翰·盧茨說，麥克維伊定於２６日出庭受審，保釋金為１０萬美元。

An armed man has been arrested at a North Carolina airport as US President Barack Obama was flying out of the airport.
一名武裝男子在北卡羅萊納州的機場已被逮捕，當美國總統奧巴馬在機場飛出。
Joseph Sean Mc Vey of Coshocton, Ohio, was arrested Sunday afternoon at the Asheville Regional Airport after cops found him armed and his vehicle equipped with police gear.
俄亥俄州科肖克頓的約瑟夫肖恩麥當勞維伊，星期日下午在阿什維爾區域機場被逮捕，在警察發現武裝的他和他的車輛配有警察裝備後。
The 23-year-old told the officer at the airport's parking lot that he had heard the president was in town and wanted to see him up close, The Associated Press reported.
23歲的他在機場的停車場告訴警官，他已聽聞總統是在城中和想近距離看看他，美聯社報導。
Airport Police Capt. Kevan Smith reported that Mc Vey was not in law enforcement and it was odd that he was carrying police equipment, such as a siren and flashing lights, in his car.
By the time the suspect arrived at the airport, the president had already flown out and was on his way to a memorial for the victims of a mining disaster in West.
Mc Vey is being held at a county jail on USD 100,000 bond and his first appearance before a judge in court is on Monday.
