Hundreds of thousands of students and teachers went on strike and flooded the streets of Brazil to protest Bolsonaro's cuts on education and social security.
Calling themselves a "Tsunami of Education" the strike movement to defend education has been mobilizing large crowds of people to resist Bolsonaro's government. Banners were waved with "Fora Bolsonaro" (Bolsonaro Out) in hundreds of towns and cities, rejecting the far-right President Jair Bolsonaro and his unpopular neoliberal policies.
Bolsonaro has one of the lowest approval ratings in the last 30 years, with approximately a mere 30% expressing support for his government.
