June 1932 - The Electric Canon aka "Rail Gun" was disclosed publicly prior to WW2. This technology would lead to the development of particle beam weapons, particle accelerators/colliders (CERN) as well as lasers and much of today's modern (shhh top secret) Directed Energy Weapons (DEW).
