One of the oldest Christian churches has been discovered in Megiddo (Armageddon).
The find was especially intriguing because it was uncovered within the walls of a maximum security prison. Mosaics were wiped clean by prisoners, one specifically written in ancient Greek “..to the God Jesus Christ in commemoration.”
An archaeologist stated, “This is an extremely dramatic discovery. The mosaic floor dates back to the period before Christianity became an officially recognized religion, before Constantine.”
The church dates back to around 200-300 AD.
