Japanese defense officials say 2 Russian bombers circled Japan flying from Hokkaido in the north to Okinawa in the south.
日本防衛官員說,兩架俄羅斯轟炸機盤旋日本飛行,從北部的北海道到南部的沖繩。
The Defense Ministry in Tokyo says 2 TU95 bombers from the Russian Air Force approached Japanese airspace near the Strait of Tsushima around 6 AM on Thursday. Fighter planes from Japan's Air Self-Defense Force scrambled to track the bombers.
在東京的國防部說,兩架來自俄羅斯空軍的TU95轟炸機接近日本領空,上週四上午6點左右在對馬海峽附近,從日本航空自衛隊的戰機緊急升空跟踪轟炸機。
The bombers later flew southward over the East China Sea, and then flew south of Okinawa's main island and moved to the Pacific side before skirting along the Japanese archipelago northward.

The bombers continued by flying over the Strait of Soya while being fueled mid-air, and then headed south on the Japan Sea side before leaving areas near Japan around 8 PM.
轟炸機繼續飛越大豆海峽而在半空加油,及後在日本海側朝向南,在8時左右離開日本附近地區前。
The Defense Ministry says the bombers did not violate Japan's airspace during their 14-hour flight but it was an unusual route for any Russian military aircraft.
The Russian Air Force has been active around Japan recently. Bombers and spy planes have approached Japanese airspace 5 times starting last month.
