Bible site where ‘God met Moses’ to be BULLDOZED for ‘super city’ by Saudi Arabia
Bible scholars have claimed there is evidence that suggests the peak Jabal al-Lawz in the Middle Eastern kingdom is actually Mount Sinai.
The site is a 8,460 foot peak known as the “mountain of almonds”, located in north east Saudi Arabia near the border with Jordan.
Moses leads the Israelites to the mountain which is enveloped by fire, smoke and thunder, according to the Book of Exodus in the Bible.
The prophet then ascends Mount Sinai where he convenes with God to receive the Ten Commandments.
Experts from the Doubting Thomas Research Foundation have backed the location of Sinai, and also pointed out the fact it lies right in the footprint of proposed Saudi mega city Neom.
Neom is a project proposed by Riyadh that would cover 10,200 square miles – 33 times the size of New York – and would end up covering the suspected Holy site from the Bible.
Security analyst Ryan Mauro and the Doubting Thomas Research Foundation released a documentary with detailing their evidence of Sinai in Saudi Arabia.
It is claimed there is proof of the Israelites encampment at the foot of the mountain, which also has a blackened peak as if it was set on fire.
Historians and Biblical scholars remained divided on the location of the real Sinai in the Middle East.
However, the researchers and explorers fear its location could never be found if the Neom project bulldozes the area.

Mt Sinai/Jebel el Lawz
One of the questions we are asked frequently is about Bob Cornuke and his claim that he and Larry Williams found Mt. Sinai at Jebel el Lawz.
In order to set the record straight concerning these claims, I have prepared the following:
A timeline of events which show the date of Ron’s discovery and of Mr. Cornuke and Mr. William’s “rediscovery, with documentation;
Documentation of 2 proposed contracts sent to Ron by Mr. Howard Blum, who wrote a fictionalized account the Cornuke/Willams discovery of Mt. Sinai, in which he comments on Ron’s discovery of the mountain. An attempt to, by deception, obtain permission to use our materials to promote his book.
A statement with photos concerning statements made in “The Gold of Exodus” about a radar station at the mountain;

Bible BOMBSHELL: Expert finds ‘REAL Mount Sinai’ where GOD gave Moses the Ten Commandments
BIBLICAL location Mount Sinai where God handed Moses the Ten Commandments has been found in Saudi Arabia, a scholar claims.
Sinai is one of the key locations in the Bible, yet historians and Christian scholars remain divided on its true whereabouts in the Middle East.
Moses leads the Israelites to the mountain which is enveloped by fire, smoke and thunder, according to the Book of Exodus in the Bible.
The prophet then ascends Mount Sinai where he convenes with God to receive the Ten Commandments.
Dr Charles Whittaker claims the mountain mentioned the Bible is actually Jabal al Lawz in modern day Saudi Arabia.
He argues the peak is the "most convincing" contender to be the real Mount Sinai.
Writing his 285 page dissertation for the Louisiana Baptist University, he claims both Biblical accounts and modern research puts supports the case for Jabal al Lawz.
The mountain is a 8,460 foot peak known as the "mountain of almonds", located in north east Saudi Arabia near the border with Jordan.
Dr Whittaker claims archaeological discoveries on the site, calculation of the rate of travel of the Exodus, and contemporary and Biblical accounts support Jabal al Lawz.
He notes however there is "passionate conflict" on the subject of the location and concedes not everyone will be satisfied with his account of Mount Sinai.
Dr Whittaker said: "The mountain and its environs fit the description of the scriptural Mount Sinai better than other candidates for the honor.”
He went on: "In many cases the structures, rock art, inscriptions, natural features, lay of the land, and all the other features about the site of Jabal al Lawz and the surrounding region fit the Biblical accounts far better than other explanations given for the feature.
“Looking at the entire body of information, the evidence lends support to the Biblical significance of Jabal al Lawz.”
It is alleged at the foot of the mountain you can find the remains of the stone altar which was crafted for the idol of the Golden Cow made the Israelites, much to the fury of Moses.
Saudi Arabian authorities conducted an archaeological study of the mountain in the early noughties.
The kingdom’s investigators denied Jabal al Lawz was Mount Sinai, and instead linked findings on the site to other early civilisations.
Dr Whittaker however dismisses their conclusions and accuses them of not looking at the evidence.
He said: “There is such a preponderance of historical information and scholarship from many sources and times periods, one must weigh the conclusions of the Deputy Minister of Antiquities carefully.”
Biblical explorers BASE Institute also support Dr Whitaker's conclusion that Jabal al Lawz is the original Mount Sinai.
The organisation has previously claimed to have uncovered evidence of the Ark of the Covenant in Ethiopia and Noah’s Ark in Iran.
BASE founder and Bible scholar Bob Cornuke travelled to Saudi Arabia - claiming to have done so in secret and “traced the Exodus route”.
He said: “This expedition yielded the first of a wealth of compelling new evidence to suggest that the Strait of Tiran on the Gulf of Aqaba was the crossing point for the route of the Exodus, and that Jabal al-Lawz in Saudi Arabia is the true Mount Sinai.”
Jabal al Lawz has previously been suggested as a candidate for the original Mount Sinai, and has been criticised by other historians.
Professor James Karl Hoffmeier described “monumental blunders” as leading to the conclusion of the mountain being the one mentioned in the Bible.
Creationist researcher Gordon Franz also dismissed the claim that Mount Sinai is in Saudi Arabia.
He said: ”There is no credible historical, geographical, archaeological or Biblical evidence for the thesis that Mt. Sinai is at Jebel al-Lawz in Saudi Arabia.”
