新西蘭 及印尼 先後發生地震，暫時無傷亡或破壞報告。新西蘭南島在本港時間凌晨十二時許發生猛烈地震，本港天文台 及美國 地質勘探局錄得強度黎克特制七點四級，震央位於基督城東南約二十公里。另外，印尼蘇門答臘南部在本港時間凌晨一時許發生地震，本港天文台錄得強度黎克特制五點六級，震央位於巴東的東南偏南約三百五十公里。

一強烈的7.4級地震襲擊新西蘭的南島，據美國地質調查局
A strong 7.4 magnitude earthquake has struck New Zealand's South Island, according to the US Geological Survey.
The epicenter of the earthquake was 6 km (4 miles) southeast of the city of Christchurch, BBC reported.
The earthquake struck at 1635 GMT on Friday at a depth of 34 km (21 miles).
Christchurch, with a population of approximately 342,000, is the third largest city in New Zealand.
The earthquake has caused power outages. However, no casualties or damages have so far been reported, The Press, a Christchurch-based newspaper said, adding that aftershocks were ongoing.
There has reportedly been no destructive widespread tsunami warning.
