The Course of Thunder: His Revelation is Beginning?
For each phenomenon in creation there is a course. You have a unique course established by God for your life. This is also true for the thundering voice of God. Consider for a moment a lightning bolt followed by thunder within the natural realms. For each thunder there is a separate course, for if two should thundering's should go forth along the same track, the world would be destroyed.
This is also true for the courses of water which fall upon the earth. There are many drops that God has created in the clouds, and for each drop there is a separate place; for if two drops should go into one, they would make the earth too soft or destructive, and it could not produce. Infinite balance is His precision.
Faith Lesson: What is your course in this life? Do you trust in His perfect precision and balance?
Thunder of God
At pivotal times in history God's thunder has issued forth:
- Creation
- Giving of the Torah (Bible)
And lesser know occasions such as
- During an attack by the Philistines God answered prayer to Samuel: God terrified the enemy first by an earthquake, and then by thunder and lightning. Many were scorched, and in their terror and pain their weapons dropped from their hands. Legends of the Jews Volume 4
- It is said that as the spies entered the land of Israel that the lightning of the stars shone, and the thunders followed sounding them. Legends of the Jews, Volume 6
- The intense conversation between God and Job in the Book of Job
There are other thunders that we will glean clues as we uncover the mysteries of the Seven Thunders in The Mysterious Thunder of God: Calculating the End.
And God will thunder as a lion as time draws unto an End.
Faith Lesson: Bring to your recollection a time when God has spoken to you. Was it at a crucial time in your life or did He speak to you in your ordinary day? Did you take time to thank Him for your conversation?

John the Revelator was commanded:
Therefore write down the things you have seen, and the things that are, and the things that will happen after this. Revelation 1:19
Jesus then talks to His Beloved Church. I will in brief provide an overview of what transpires between after Jesus interacts with His Bride, the Church and the Seven Thunders in Chapter 10. We need to keep the overview in our mind's eye to hear the message of the Seven Thunders.
- Chapter 4 we see the heavenly gate open for a view of what is transpiring in the heavenlies and what is to shortly come to pass
- Chapter 5 Jesus is given a book with seven seals and since the foundation of creation He alone is worthy to open this book amidst myriads and myriads of angelic voices sing praises, elders falling down before Him, all crying, "Worthy is the Lamb that was slain."
- Chapter 6: With the voice of thunderbeckoning, "Come and see" as the four horses [of the Apocalypse] dispatched upon the earth. In the Aramaic the speaking voice within the thunder there is embedded, a wordplay, a beautiful alliteration, between the speaking thunder and a great sword. Men will hide in caves and clefts of mountains to hide from the one who sits of the throne and the wrath of the Lamb.
- Chapter 7: Introduces the Four Messengers stationed at the four corners of the earth and commanded not to hurt the earth or the sea until the 144,000 were sealed. And of those who stood before the throne were clothes in white robes from their great affliction and these robes were made clean by the blood of the Lamb. They held palms in their hands symbolic of their holy reverence to Jesus the Lamb of God as their King. There future is detailed.
- Chapter 8: Silence in heaven and then the golden altar incense is thrown with fire and cast upon the earth. Seven messengers with seven rams horns sounded and with thunders and flashes of lightning's and voices and an earthquakes did the "sounds" go forth. The earth was burned, the trees were burned, and a giant mountain fell unto earth turning the sea to blood killing life within it. A star named Wormwood fell to destroy the waters, rivers, and many people died from the bitter waters. A third sun was smitten and did not give its light, also the moon and the stars became dark. And I saw and heard an eagle which flew in the midst, and it had a tail of blood, while it said with a loud voice: Woe, woe, to them who dwell on the earth because the remaining sounds of the trumpets of the three messengers, who are to sound.
- Chapter 9: A star falls from heaven upon the earth and it was given the key of the pit of the Abyss and he opened the Abyss and in smoke came the locusts like scorpions that have a king over them to torment those who did not have the seal of God upon their foreheads. [Mind you his is before the mark of the beast]. Two myriads of warrior war horses are dispatched at a precise moment to slay and with plagues. But the remnant of man who were not slain by the plagues did not repent of the works of their hands and worshiped demons…And they repented neither of their murders nor of their sorceries, not of their sexual sins, nor of their thefts.
Chapter 10
And I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven, clothed with a cloud: and a rainbow was upon his head, and his face was as it were the sun, and his feet as pillars of fire:
2 And he had in his hand a little book open: and he set his right foot upon the sea, and his left foot on the earth,
3 And cried with a loud voice, as when a lion roareth: and when he had cried, seven thunders uttered their voices.
4 And when the seven thunders had uttered their voices, I was about to write: and I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Seal up those things which the seven thunders uttered, and write them not.
5 And the angel which I saw stand upon the sea and upon the earth lifted up his hand to heaven,
6 And sware by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer:
7 But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.
8 And the voice which I heard from heaven spake unto me again, and said, Go and take the little book which is open in the hand of the angel which standeth upon the sea and upon the earth.
9 And I went unto the angel, and said unto him, Give me the little book. And he said unto me, Take it, and eat it up; and it shall make thy belly bitter, but it shall be in thy mouth sweet as honey.
10 And I took the little book out of the angel's hand, and ate it up; and it was in my mouth sweet as honey: and as soon as I had eaten it, my belly was bitter.
11 And he said unto me, Thou must prophesy again before many peoples, and nations, and tongues, and kings. Revelation 10
The mighty angel has a little book and roars, and the Seven Thunders sound but John is told not to write what they said. Time will cease. I do not see many or any conversions or repentance after this point. It may be well that we have until the Seven Thunders to make our decision for Jesus Christ or our fate is nearly sealed. There are Set Apart Believer's during this time as many are killed when they do not take the mark of the beast.
Then the angel swears by God that there will be time [delay] no longer, but that the mystery of God will be finished in the days that the seventh trumpet begins to sound.
The mystery of God will be finished because Jesus Christ will be revealed to the whole world at the Seventh Trumpet. There will no longer be any mystery.

Scroll of Sweetness, Bitter Message
And he had in his right hand seven stars, and from his mouth issued a fervent spirit; and his countenance was like the sun shining in strength. Revelation 1:16, Aramaic
This description of Jesus is very illuminating in the Aramaic which reveals that it can mean several things, as Hebrew and Aramaic oftentimes does expound. A sharp spirit came out of his mouth in the Greek reads and a sharp sword came out of his mouth. The Aramaic scribe made a slight error and instead of putting a small sword or dagger he inadvertently put spirit.
For the Word of God is living and all-efficient, and sharper than a two-edged sword, and enters to the severance of the soul and the spirit, and all the joints and the marrow of the bones, and judges the thoughts and reasoning's of the heart. Hebrews 4:12, Aramaic
This word sharp is interesting, for as mentioned it has several meanings: sharp, severe, prompt, a bitter plant, loud voice, pungent (strong), current, to be sharp, to sharpen, to incite, to blaspheme , to be sharpened, to be incited, and to be early. This is not an isolated incident for we find it elsewhere always with the concept of and in your soul will pass through a spear so that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed. Luke
There is an association between the fervent spirit and the sharp sword. This is a beautiful example of the Spirit of God in our hearts and indicating that we will not be separated from God after our death.
I would like to call your attention to the other usages of sharp and that is the bitter plant and pungent.
In Revelation 10 and in the Book of Ezekiel God tells His messengers to take the scroll (book) and to eat it and it will make your bowels bitter, but in your mouth it will be like sweet honey. Whatever is this to mean?
So I opened my mouth, and He fed me the scroll. “Son of man,” He said to me, “eat and fill your stomach with this scroll I am giving you.” So I ate, and it was as sweet as honey in my mouth. Then He said to me, “Son of man, go now to the house of Israel and speak My words to them.…Ezekiel 3:2-3, Berean
Aside from a literal understanding, there is a metaphorical meaning, and that is identification with its contents-a fusion of man and message.
In Ezekiel's case when the passage says open your mouth the root indicates an unwilling opening with from repugnance or by force. The prophet is directed to absorb the message even if his whole being rebels against the task.
And behold! in it was a scroll of a book-inscribed within and without, and in it was inscribed lamentations, moaning, and woes. Ezekiel 2:10
This scroll contained that which occurred at the beginning and that which will occur at the end. Thus the entire span of human history the prophet would absorb let it permeate his being. Humanity, history and destiny are fusing in this symbolic act.
Eating is interpreted as learning and accepting the words of the scroll so that he can convey a bitter message to the people. He was to sate himself with this scroll as he would food. Despite the ominous contents he hearkens with eagerness and alacrity because they are the words of God. The sweetness lay not in the wickedness and troubles but the sweetness of prophecy and the divine precision between punishment and crimes.
Both the prophet and the messenger then go forth to prophesy to the rebellious people.
Bitterness is a theme that runs throughout the Bible. No sooner had the Hebrews had the Hebrews left the mouth of the gorges of Freedom Valley and passed through the sea unto the desert and when they had traveled three days [here is that three again] that encamped (4th) at a place that was known henceforth as the Place of Bitterness [also known as rebellion]. Bitterness is what we get when we follow our own fleshly evil desires.
And the people murmured against Moses, saying, What shall we drink? And the people contended. And he prayed before the Lord, and the Lord showed him the bitter tree of Ardiphne [representing the tree that Jesus would be sacrificed upon rendering the bitter waters sweet]; and lie wrote upon it the great and glorious Name, and cast it into the midst of the waters, and the waters were rendered sweet. This is reminiscent of: their sorrow was turned into joy and their mourning into a day of celebration. Esther 9:22
Everyone that thirsts, come for water,Isaiah 55:1. Jesus is the Living Water. What occurred at Marah is what happens to us when we abandon the Living Water, we get thirsty. There is speculation in Legends and such that bitterness originated with the Tree of Good and Evil. If there as no sin bitterness would not have entered into the world. The people murmured only at two places here at Marah and the Encampment of Giants. That juxiposition is fascinating.
We, mankind, will revisit Place of Bitterness as the events of Revelation unfold. One trivia comment about sweet honey is that a man can endure only so much of it. If he consumes too much honey his stomach will turn bitter and he may well vomit.
Faith Lesson: Have you allowed God to fuse His message into your heart? God brings bitterness into our lives as a testing and so that He might deliver us from it. In this world you will have tribulation, but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world. John 16:33
