載有 5,700 磅貨物的 SpaceX 飛龍號太空船（SpaceX Dragon）8 日上午抵達國際太空站。
太空船攜帶基因改造的强化老鼠（mighty mice）和能與太空人互動的新型火箭（CIMON rocket）等。
據美國 CNN 報導，這些老鼠將幫助科學家了解如何限制人類肌肉和骨骼在太空時流失。
這些老鼠來自緬因州傑克遜實驗室（Jackson Laboratory），是非營利性生物醫學研究機構，老鼠經基因改造以促進肌肉生長。
根據傑克遜實驗室網站，老鼠研究對了解地球人類的肌肉退化也有重大價值。
強化的老鼠不過是國際太空站一批最新嚙齒動物訪客，牠們追隨今年稍早在軌道實驗室待了幾週的 20 隻基因完全相同老鼠的腳步。
