The US Congressional estimates show the government budget deficit for the next decade is going to be $1.2 trillion more than what the administration has predicted.
美國國會估計顯示,政府的預算赤字在未來十年將是1.2兆億美元,超過了政府所作的預測。
The nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office (CBO) has estimated that the US Government deficit over ten years from 2011 will grow to about $9.7 trillion, compared to $8.5 trillion projected by the White House.
非黨派的國會預算辦公室(CBO)估計,美國政府財政赤字在2010年後10年,將增長至約 9.7兆億美元,比對白宮的預計8.5兆億美元。
According to the forecast, the administration's planned tax cuts for the middle class account for nearly a third of that shortfall.

The CBO also charges that President Barack Obama's debt projections are too optimistic.

"Over the next 10 years, those policies would reduce revenues and boost outlays for refundable tax credits by a total of $3.0 trillion," said CBO director Douglas W. Elmendorf.

In the job sector, meanwhile, the Federal Reserve and the White House have warned that high unemployment is to continue in the United States.

The jobless rate currently stands at close to 10 percent with 36,000 more job losses recorded in February.
