Three hundred and thirty-nine people have died and 3,299 have been hospitalized in Ukraine from December 18, 2009, to February 1, 2010, as a result of a cold snap.

The Health Ministry announced this in a statement.

According to the statement, 120 people have died in the Donetsk region as a result of the cold snap, 39 in the Zaporizhia region, 22 in the Volyn region, 19 in the Kharkiv region, 18 in the Kyiv region, 15 in each of the Sumy and Khmelnytskyi regions, 14 in the Chernivtsi region, 13 in the Rivne region, 11 in the Mykolaiv region, eight in the Kherson region, seven in the Ivano-Frankivsk region, five in each of the Vinnytsia, Dnipropetrovsk and Lviv regions, four in each of the Kirovohrad, Poltava and Luhansk regions, three in each of the Chernihiv region and the Crimea, two in each of the Zhytomyr and Cherkasy regions, and one in the Ternopil region.

Moreover, 4,988 people have sought assistance.

As Ukrainian News earlier reported, 333 people died and 3,170 were hospitalized in Ukraine during the period of December 18-January 30 because of the cold snap.

Two hundred and seventy-six have died and 2,660 have been hospitalized in Ukraine from December 18 to January 26 as a result of a cold snap.

The Health Ministry announced this in a statement.

According to the statement, 104 people have died in the Donetsk region as a result of the cold snap, 31 in the Zaporizhia region, 21 in the Volyn region, 17 in the Kyiv region, 13 in the Sumy region, 12 in the Khmelnytskyi region, 11 in the Rivne region, 10 in the Mykolaiv region, 9 in the Chernivtsi region, 5 each in the Dnipropetrovsk, Zhytomyr, and Vinnytsia regions, 4 each in the Kirovohrad and Ivano-Frankivsk regions, 3 in the Luhansk region, 2 each in the Cherkasy, Lviv, and Poltava regions, and 1 each in the Ternopil and Chernihiv regions and the Crimean autonomous republic.

Moreover, 4,027 people have sought assistance.

As Ukrainian News earlier reported, 256 people died and 2,504 were hospitalized in Ukraine during the period of December 18-January 25 because of the cold snap.

One hundred and fifteen people have died and 938 have been hospitalized in Ukraine from December 18 to 30 as a result of a cold snap.

The Health Ministry announced this in a statement.

According to the statement, 44 people have died in the Donetsk region as a result of the cold snap, 12 in the Volyn region, 10 in the Chernivtsi region, six in the Kharkiv region, five in the Kherson region, five in the Luhansk region, four in the Sumy region, four in the Khmelnytskyi region, three each in the Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Mykolaiv, and Rivne regions, two each in the Kirovohrad and Cherkasy regions, and one each in the Vinnytsia, Kyiv, Lviv, Poltava, Ternopil, and Chernihiv regions.

Moreover, 1,348 people sought assistance.

As Ukrainian News earlier reported, 110 people died and 867 were hospitalized in Ukraine during the period of December 18-28 because of the cold snap.
