French Academy for Medicine fiercely criticises mass swine flu vaccination campaign

The French government has come in for criticism over its handling of the mass swine flu vaccination campaign from the country’s prestigious National Academy for Medicine.
法國政府因其處理的大規模豬流感疫苗接種運動，已要硬着頭皮面對批評，來自該國著名的國家醫科學院。
The Academy said the mass swine flu vaccination campaign was ill conceived, fraught with logistical problems and also counter productive in as far as it had led to more scepticism in the population about mass vaccination campaigns.
學院表示，大規模的豬流感疫苗接種運動是被錯誤構想，伴隨着後勤問題，和亦有反作用在於它令致在人口中有更多關於大型疫苗接種運動的懷疑。
In a press release issued in the name of the Commission for Infectious Diseases and the Sub Committee on Vaccinations, the Academy accused the media and government of alarmism over the mild swine flu.
在一份以傳染病委員會和疫苗注射小組委員會的名義發出的新聞稿中，學院指責媒體和政府在溫和的豬流感上作危言聳聽，。
Furthermore, the Academy said that the decision to set up vaccination centers to administer the jab created logistical and pyschological problems. This was because people in France are used in nine cases out of ten to getting their vaccinations from GPs.
此外該學院說，決定成立疫苗注射中心執行刺戳，創造了後勤和心理問題。這是因為在法國的人十個有九個習慣在GPs接種疫苗。
The Academy also raised concerns about the decision to mass vaccinate the entire population instead of just people who were at an especial risk, saying such a campaign needed a better justification and explanation.
Finally, the Academy called for a proper review of the effectiveness and the secondary effects of the vaccination as well as the cost of the vaccination campaign.
