Video--Government arrogance from top to bottom

Government at all levels, whether local, state, or federal, are infected with a potentially deadly disease called 'arrogance'--arrogance from top to bottom.
各級政府，無論是地方、州或聯邦，都感染一種潛在致命的疾病，叫做'驕揚跋扈' - 自上而下的傲慢。
At some point within the past few years this nation crossed a threshold, violating an unspoken but sacred pact between citizens and government officials that presumed a servant role on the part of those elected to public office or appointed to such an office.

That day is gone.

Today, government officials clearly act as if they are in control and the citizens are mere peons, the vast unwashed, uneducated masses who have to be told what to think, what to eat, what to wear, what to drive, and how to vote.

And woe be unto any citizen that dares question the infallible, inerrant pronouncements of the chosen ones, who, of course, always know what's best for the poor citizens who obviously can't find their way out of a shower of rain.
This attitude can be seen throughout the Obama Administration. Senators and Congressmen on Capitol Hill also exhibit the dreaded symptoms of the disease. So do many state legislators and Governors. And even at the local level, government officials act with great boldness in making it abundantly clear to citizens that THEY are in charge and they are not to be questioned.

Such an attitude is anti-American, tyrannical, and potentially dangerous to a free society. Americans have always held with a clear disdain self-proclaimed messiahs, dictators, royalty, and those who exhibit an air of elitism.
When we allow arrogance on the part of government SERVANTS, we have taken one giant leap toward oppressive government tyranny. And this is why the disease is potentially deadly to a free society.
It is time for the citizens to make it abundantly clear to the many local, state, and federal government officials that we, the people, are NOT here to serve them, nor do we plan on doing so. THEY are here to SERVE US. It is OUR MONEY they confiscate and spend recklessly, often with little accountability.
This must stop NOW.
